Genesis 2:18
Then the Lord God
said ,”it is not good that the man should be alone ;I will make a helper fit
for him.”
Genesis 2:20b-23
…….but for the man there was not found a helper fit for him.
So the Lord caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took
one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib which the Lord
God took from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man .Then the
man said ”this at last is the bone of my bones and
flesh of my flesh; she shall be called a woman, because she was taken out of man.
After the creation of everything, man (Adam) was alone and
needed a help and a companion , therefore the need for a woman. A woman did not
just come into existence for the sake of living. She came to fulfil a PURPOSE.
All other creatures; animals, plant, etc had mates good for
them, but for Adam was no help meet found.
From the scriptural verses above, one can deduce that the
woman was created to be by the side of the man, not above, beneath,behind or
before. They are to walk and work side by side , that is , to keep each other’s
company ,eliminate boredom, loneliness and above all ,to help.
A woman is not just an ordinary being. She is one with
double power, anointing and destiny. She possesses the ability of both the ‘He’
and ‘She’. She has the abilities of a
man and a woman because she was created with the rib of the man, meaning that
she possesses the bone of a man (strength).
